Overview

The Animal Health specialty is dedicated to developing professionals with the expertise to safeguard animal welfare, enhance livestock productivity, and promote public health. This program integrates veterinary science, animal husbandry, and disease management to address the critical role of animal health in agriculture, food security, and ecosystems. Key areas of study include: Prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of animal diseases. Animal nutrition, reproduction, and management practices. Zoonotic diseases and their impact on human health. Wildlife health and conservation medicine. Students will engage in practical training, research, and fieldwork to build their capabilities in clinical care, disease prevention, and sustainable animal management. Graduates will be well-equipped to pursue careers in veterinary clinics, livestock industries, government agencies, and animal welfare organizations, making a positive impact on animal and human health alike.
